Tactile Fragments No. 02 explores colour, words, and architecture through a composition that feels both divided and connected.
Red, pale blue, ochre, and navy gather around a raised central seam. Colour expresses the shifting emotions of the moment, while torn Japanese and handmade papers suggest fragments of a story whose original order has been lost. My interest in words and literature takes shape through these interruptions, inviting viewers to imagine what lies between the visible layers.
My background in architecture informs the proportions, the balance of painted fields, and the space surrounding them. The textured centre acts as both a boundary and a meeting point, bringing separate areas into a shared structure. Acrylic, paper, and modeling paste preserve traces of touch, turning the surface into a record of feeling, memory, and reconstruction.
